1. Ownership & Intellectual Property

OwnPOS and all associated software, source code, design, user interface, documentation, business processes, and branding are the exclusive intellectual property of Joseph Williams, doing business as OwnPOS (“we,” “us,” or “OwnPOS”). All rights reserved.

No portion of the OwnPOS software, website, dashboard, or supporting materials may be copied, reproduced, reverse-engineered, modified, distributed, sublicensed, sold, or used to create derivative works without express written permission.

2. Proprietary Software License

OwnPOS is proprietary software, not open-source. Purchase or deployment of OwnPOS hardware and software grants the customer a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to operate the system at their designated business location only. This license does not grant:

Upon full payment of the agreed purchase price, the customer receives a permanent, irrevocable license to continue operating their specific installed instance of OwnPOS at no further software fee. This license is limited to the hardware and location specified in the original service agreement and does not include the right to copy or redistribute the software.

OwnPOS software is provided “as is.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose. Our liability is limited to the fees paid in the prior 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, Mora County. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Mora County, New Mexico.
